WHO ARE WE?

OST is an innovative rehabilitation and treatment centres in Newton Mearns and Tradeston. We continually strive to be at the forefront of modern rehabilitation techniques to maximise our efficiency and minimise clients time away from doing the activities they love. We specialise in dealing with sports injuries and the specialist exercises that can accelerate an athletes return to sport. We can make the rehab process a positive experience returning the athlete to their sport faster, stronger and more agile than prior to their injury.

The Team

RYAN ONEILL

I graduated from Teesside University in 2011 with an honours degree in sports therapy. Since then I set up OST and it has gone from strength to strength. Initially we started with one small clinic and now are a multi-centred business covering Glasgow, working with several amateur sports clubs and local businesses. I  currently lecture on the sports therapy programme at the City of Glasgow College which has driven me to follow up my degree with further courses in strength & conditioning and nutrition.

RYAN PARKES

The diversity in this field is what I am driven on! I am currently in a fortunate position to be working alongside both Glasgow Universities men’s rugby and football teams, helping players to stay clear of injury and I’m also managing to help in non-sporting injuries that were preventing people from carrying out their regular routines.  As well as graduating with a BSc (hons) in Sports Therapy I am now becoming more diverse and studying physiotherapy. This allows for a wider spectrum of practice and this excites me.

Our Services

On your first visit, you shall undertake a comprehensive assessment with your therapist. They shall ask you questions about the history of your issue and other relevant points they feel will give you the best possible treatment. When the history has been taken, the therapist will have a better understanding of what structures need assessment and will talk you through the process. A series of range of motion, strength, neurological and functional tests will be used to isolate the structure(s) that are at the root of your problem. A comprehensive individualised rehabilitation programme shall then be formulated to minimise your time away from doing the activities you love.

Testimonials

“ Following a skiing accident, I sustained a bad shoulder injury and visited an Orthopedic Surgeon, who suggested Physiotherapy before surgery. After many weeks and months of intensive work by Ryan, my range of shoulder movement has now returned to that which I had before the accident. Without a great deal of hard work and patience by Ryan, I would have certainly ended up under the knife. I can thoroughly recommend Ryan for this type of physiotherapy.”

I have been suffering from neck and shoulder pain for the last few years due to my job as a Pastry Chef!Repetitive stress and strain.Have been to see Ryan since July and would definitely recommend him.Although I still get some pain, regular sports therapy has helped enormously. So glad I’ve been getting treatment.

Eileen Campbell

Following a car crash in 2006 I have had terrible neck problems. Years of physio and countless visits to the chiropractor hadn’t particularly helped and I thought there wasnt anything that could be done. I was told to go and see Ryan and I have to say, I was dubious – what could be done after all this time? Was I signing myself up to many more years of treatment? Well, the results have been amazing! I have only had eight sessions and I can actually move my neck again and I’m no longer complaining day in day out of neck pain and headaches! I’m amazed! Thank you so much Ryan – you really know your stuff and I am more than happy to recommend you.
